Job Summary

We are actively seeking charismatic, patient, and highly articulate individuals to run our store-level training programs. As a Retail Trainer, you will conduct orientations, lead hands-on systems training, and ensure strict compliance with food safety education. You will serve as the cultural ambassador, delivering the signature operational excellence that sets Vons apart in the grocery industry. This role blends classroom-style facilitation with on-the-floor coaching.

Comprehensive Responsibilities

• New Hire Orientation: Lead engaging Day 1 orientation sessions, covering company history, core values, dress code, and basic safety protocols.
• Systems Training: Conduct hands-on training for cashiers and fulfillment associates, teaching them how to navigate point-of-sale systems and handheld scanners.
• Compliance Tracking: Ensure all associates complete mandatory computer-based training (CBT) modules for HIPAA, OSHA, and Food Safety certifications on time.
• Continuous Coaching: Shadow new hires on the sales floor during their first week, providing real-time, constructive feedback and encouragement.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age upon application.
• No college degree required; 1 to 2 years of retail experience with a proven track record of mentoring or leading peers is preferred.
• Must possess outstanding public speaking skills, empathy, and the ability to adapt teaching styles to different learners.
• Comfortable using basic presentation software and navigating Learning Management Systems (LMS).
